Aaloo Matar Patatha 😋



A very tasty & spicy recipe ,which combines potatoes & Green peas together.

Parathas are Indian flat bread which is pan fried & when we add any stuffing in these bread , then they are known as stuffed Paratha or Bharwa Paratha . 

Parathas are quite famous breakfast in India & if they are stuffed… That too with Aaloo matar….It’s like😜😍

‘Sone pe Suhaga’or ‘Icing on the cake ‘

These parathas are absolutely delicious , crisp & very easy to make. 

This is the perfect tiffin recipe , breakfast or you can relish it in your lunch with some plain yogurt & chutney !

Aaloo Matar Paratha Recipe :-

Ingredients for the dough :-

2 1/2 cup whole wheat flour 

2 tbsp Besan ( gram flour) optional 

2 tbsp oil 

2 pinch of salt 

Luke warm Water as required for kneading 
Ingredients for stuffing:-

3-4 boiled & mashed potatoes 

1/2 cup or little more boiled & mashed Green peas 

1 tbsp red chilly powder or as per your tolerance 

2-3 chopped green chillies 

1/2 tbsp chaat masala

1/2 tbsp roasted cumin powder

1 tsp dried kasuri methi ( crushed)

1/4 tsp black pepper powder 

1/2 tsp Dry mango powder ( Amchur)

2 tbsp Chopped coriander leaves 

Salt as per taste 

Method:-

⚫️ Take big bowl & Add all the ingredients of dough and some water ,bring the mixture together and knead into a smooth soft dough. 

⚫️cover and keep the dough aside for 10 minutes.
⚫️ Now take another big bowl & Add all the ingredients of stuffing & mix very well .

⚫️Taste & adjust seasoning. 
How to assemble & Roll stuffed Parathas. 

⚫️Pinch one small ball from the dough & flatten them like ball and dust with whole wheat flour.

⚫️Now with the rolling pin, roll them into about 4-5 inches diameter in round shape ( circle ) & place the potato& matar stuffing in the center and bring all the edges together & press with your fingertips like any stuffed paratha. ( seal the stuffed ball very well otherwise stuffing may ooze out while rolling) 

⚫️Again dust with whole wheat flour & roll gently into the round shape. Let it be little thick. 

⚫️Now place this paratha on hot Tawa (griddle)let it cook for some time then flip it & add butter / ghee / oil & spread all over & Again flip it and add ghee / oil on the other side & spread all over . 

⚫️Let it cook from both the sides .you should see crisp brown spots on the paratha. you can also press the paratha edges with a spatula so that they are fried well. 
Now it’s ready to serve . 

Serve hot or warm with any kind of chutney or sauce & plain yogurt. 

You can also relish it without anything like me 😁
