Chickpea Basil Grilled Sandwich recipe:-

Ingredients :-

2 cup boiled Chickpea ( Garbanzo Beans)

6-7 Basil leaves

1/2 cup chopped onion 

1/4 cup Bell pepper (I used red & green)

1/4 tsp red chilly powder 

1/4 tsp black pepper powder 

1/2 tsp cumin powder 

2 tbsp mint chutney 

Oil for brushing 

Salt to taste 

( if Basil leves is not available .. No need to worry .. You can add parsley or Coriander leaves)

If you want .. You can add boiled & mashed potato too ( today I didn’t add)

Method :-

In a big bowl add boiled chickpea & slightly mash .. You can use FP or masher.

Now add chopped onion , chopped bell pepper & roughly chopped Basil leaves.

Mix mint chutney to the mixture.

Add red chilly powder , cumin powder , black pepper powder & salt.

Mix all together !

Now your stuffing is ready !

Take bread Slices & put some stuffing in the center.

No need to spread any butter or anything but still you want .. You can add.

Now cover with another bread slice.

Brush up with little oil from both sides.

Now it’s ready to go in Griller.

If you want to toast it on hot griddle ( tawa )

It’s up to you .. You can grill it or toast it.

Choice will be all yours.
