This is a No Fail Recipe, I must say because it’s my mom’s recipe . This curry is very aromatic.. While cooking this curry your home will be filled with wonderful aroma.
This is the perfect Treat for Spice Lovers.
I would say SPICY TREAT for spice lovers .
This curry goes perfect with anything…..Either Roti , Paratha , Naan or Rice!
My hubby loves this curry.
Looking very hot
400 gram Cauliflower florets (little big size )
2-3 Potatoes ( peeled & cut in to mid size )
2 onion (finely chopped )
2 red ripe tomatoes ( blend into blender with some garlic & little water)
7-8 garlic cloves ( Chopped)
3-4 green chilies ( chopped )
4 tbsp oil
1 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp coriander powder
1-2 tbsp red chilly powder ( for good color I used Degi mirch ) adjust as per heat tolerance .
1 tsp kitchen king masala
1/4 tsp garam masala
1/4 tsp cinnamon powder
1.5 – 2 cup water
Chopped coriander leaves
Salt to taste
Firstly soak cauliflower florets in hot water for minimum 10 min .
Take a mid size bowl add turmeric powder , red chilly powder & coriander powder , some chopped green chilly & some chopped garlic .Add water in bowl & mix .Make thin mixture of masalas !
Keep aside .
After 10 minutes Drain florets .Add some oil in the pan & little fry the cauliflower florets .When you see pink spots on florets . Remove these florets in another vessel .
Now again add oil in the same pan. As it heats , lower the flame & Add cumin seeds & mustard seeds .After spluttering add chopped garlic & green chilly .
Sauté for some Seconds then add finely chopped onion. Again sauté until onion becomes translucent then add liquid masala mixture to the pan .
Add salt to taste .
Now you have to roast ( bhuno) this mixture minimum 15 minutes over medium heat by adding little water time to time .. So that masala won’t get burnt.
Now add kitchen king masala & cinnamon powder to the gravy.
Now add potato first & give it a perfect stir so that potatoes pieces will get coated very well .
Cover the lid & heat should be low to medium.
Keep checking time to time !
Now after 5 minute add Cauliflower florets & again give it a perfect stir so that florets will get coated with gravy very well .
Again cover the lid .
Keep checking time to time .
Now after 5 minute add water then stir gently.
Now let it cook for some time over low to medium heat.
Cover the lid again for some time .
Now after 10 minute check again!
Check if potatoes & floret 90% done then add tomato purée & give it a gentle stir .
Now again cook for 5 minute . Cover the lid .
Now after 5 minute open the lid & stir & check again if potatoes & florets are completely done .
Turn off heat .
Taste & check the salt ! Add if necessary !
Now add garam masala & chopped coriander leaves 😊
Serve hot with Roti , Paratha , Naan or any Rice dish or simple plain steamed Rice .
